Oxfam also works with local partners to contribute to the protection and empowerment of marginalized women and men.

 

Project Objective:

Oxfam is seeking a company to sign with it a framework agreement in order to provide rehabilitation works for water supply system. The location of intervention is Beirut, Zahle and Nabatieh. The specific locations will be based on the needs and will be shared with winner suppliers.

 

Operational objective:

Content of Works:

  • Maintenance of water network.
  • Maintenance of pumping stations
  • Testing and commissioning / recommissioning of all structures and systems.

 

  • The Contractor shall inspect the site/s prior to commencing works in order to determine the specifics of works required.

• The Contractor shall ensure that all required equipment and materials will fit into the existing system (station, etc) and that the intervention can be successfully commenced in a timely manner. 

• The Contractor shall ensure the supply and installation of all items (pumps, pipes, cables etc.), according to the agreed design specifications and agreed schedule of works. No changes will be allowed to specified works or materials unless by prior agreement of the Oxfam.

  • Installation and testing of all equipment according to contract.
  • After testing, the contractor will handover to authority, including submission of all necessary documents.
  • The contractor is responsible, when working on site, for the health and safety of his staff, and ensure the safety of approved site visitors.
  • The period of execution of the works in the location shall be up to 5 calendar days from date of handover.
  • The Site Engineer may amend what they deem "technically" suitable for the project and after taking the approval of Oxfam, and the Contractor must abide completely with what was required by the supervising committee.
  • The Contractor’s relationship will directly be with OXFAM staff OXFAM will inform the contractor on the date of starting the construction one week ahead.
  • The contractor shall execute all works required in the presence of the site Engineer or his representative considering that the supervision committee has the right to require re-implementation in case of violation of the agreed specifications.
  • An Oxfam staff or a representative will be responsible to monitor and confirm the work.
  • The contractor should have the capacity to complete the works in one site within three days.
  • Oxfam has the right to increase or decrease quantities at the same unit cost
  • Oxfam has the right to select different suppliers for the same market and the quantity might be split between them.
  • The quantity of items requested will differ based on the needs which will be defined later for emergency response. 

 

NB: This purchase is made for emergency situations.

Earthing system

 

 

 

 

Supply, install, test and commission of earthing system. All PV panels frames, Mounting Structure, Cable trays & All PV equipment and metallic structures on roof should be properly

  • Copper rods, tap-clamps, earthing pits (earthing cable, earthing rods, clamos, interconnection wires, earthing pits and all system accessories) as would be needed to get a maximum of 5 Ohm. Interconnection to existing earthing system. Earthing of all equipment and sstems as indicated in the technical specifications. Manufacturer shall be: Wallis (U.K.)/ Furse or equivalent as would be approved by employer Engineer.
  • Supply and install Earth bar

  • Two references should be longstanding customers of at least one year (company name, contact name and telephone number).
  • Copies of Institution registration certificate and VAT registration certificate (if available) applicable for companies only not individuals.

Pricing / Required Details

The prices must be presented according to the following titles:

  1. All tenderers must be qualified technically and financially to be able to submit their offers.
  2. The unit prices and rates must be presented in Fresh US dollars for each of the offer items.

Coordination and Supervision

The activity will be supervised by Oxfam’s team. Oxfam may assign additional staff during the implementation of activity.

Date of start: One week after signing the agreement.
