Psycho Social Support (PSS) Facilitator for Adults

The René Moawad Foundation (RMF) is seeking to recruit a “PSS Facilitator for Adults” for “Upscaling Shelter, Food Security, Protection, and GBV services to extremely vulnerable individuals in North-Lebanon and Akkar” Project supported by OCHA Lebanon through Lebanon Humanitarian Fund (LHF).

 

Major Responsibilities: 

  • Facilitate PSS sessions with adults in Akkar and North governorates;
  • Attend training and capacity building opportunities;
  • Plan and prepare logistics for PSS activities;
  • Full coordination with the project officer to ensure proper implementation of the project;
  • Plan, organize and run activities with adults while facilitate and encourage their participation
  • Ensure activities run in a timely manner to ensure the successful implementation of the project;
  • Ensure that adults in need are all involved in the activity;
  • Deal with difficult behaviors (conflict, aggressiveness, introversion) and understand the reason behind the behavior to positively communicate with the situation;
  • Ensure that adults under her/his responsibility are not exposed to any form of Harm or stress during the activities;
  • Collect data on the activities organized and ensure that all the relevant forms are duly filled;
  • Identify key protection issues or threats affecting adults and raise them to the project officer;
  • Refer protection and GBV cases to the case workers of the project;
  • Ensure all project means of verifications (MOV) including attendance sheets, pre posttests, evaluation documents… are in place; and
  • Fill and archive specific forms for referrals and weekly reporting, ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, and timeliness.

     

Professional Standards:

All RMF staff are required to adhere to the RMF policies and practices with respect to child protection minimum standards, code of conduct, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum two years of relevant professional experience as PSS facilitator;
  • Candidates must have skills in working with adults;
  • High integrity in social interactions;
  • Knowledge of Child Protection/GBV, life skills, and parenting programs; and,
  • Knowledge on how to communicate with vulnerable population groups, such as women, children, youth, elderly, disabled and refugees

 

Period of Employment: 

104 sessions ranging between 1 September 2024 – 31 July 2025

Experience Requirements: At least 2 years of relevant experience.

Education DegreeBachelor Degree in Social Sciences or any other relevant field.
