Search for Common Ground (Search) is an international conflict transformation NGO that aims to transform the way individuals, groups, governments, and companies deal with conflict, away from adversarial approaches and towards collaborative solutions. Headquartered in Washington DC, USA, and Brussels, Belgium, with field offices in 35 countries, SFCG designs and implements multifaceted, culturally appropriate and conflict-sensitive programs using a diverse range of tools, including media and training, to promote dialogue, increase knowledge and determine a positive shift in behaviors.

The USAID-funded Trade and Investment Facilitation (TIF) project purpose is to facilitate export of Lebanese goods and services to generate foreign exchange through investments that simultaneously promote job creation, income generation, and improved livelihoods throughout the country.

Despite the proliferation of research, writing, and discussion on gender and sexuality, much of this work remains unknown or is more generally inaccessible to those who would benefit the most. In large, this is due to a lack of coordination and communication between activists and researchers, which then prevents said parties from benefiting from knowledge already produced—in particular work that has been produced in Arabic. Further still, because of the lack of communication, research and other materials on the same select topics are then constantly reproduced time and time again.

The post is part of a RCUK funded project “RESEARCH FOR HEALTH IN CONFLICT (R4HC-MENA)”. The project will be carried out in collaboration with King’s College London (KCL) in addition to local and regional partners.

The Project coordinator assumes responsibility for day-to-day operational implementation of the project.
This project aims at:
• Advocate for timely, free, fair, and inclusive elections.
• Inform and mobilize the public about electoral reforms.
• Launch a voter education campaign across the country.
• Discuss technical electoral reforms and knowledge sharing across all regions of Lebanon among all citizens.
• Initiate discussions on elections components and processes with various national stakeholders.

The objective of this consultancy is to support AFE in strengthening the development and implementation of the Financial and Accounting processes and Reporting framework to ensure alignment with relevant accounting standards and reflect current best practices.
The main objective of the Consultancy is to carry out a financial audit of AFE and an assessment of the financial and accounting procedure practices to identify gaps and areas, which may require improvement. Thereafter, a Financial Audit report and a Financial & Accounting Policy and Procedure Manual will be delivered.

Our aim is to develop and provide a tailored capacity building training on fundraising and proposal writing, this training is expected to help participants understand the needs for projects in development, develop a practical project idea and write comprehensive project proposal. It will also equip participants to come up with possible project funding sources, liaise with stakeholders in project idea initiation and develop fundraising initiatives.

Under the component entailing the creation of a gender platform consisting of women municipal council members, NCLW is seeking to contract a gender expert to set a mission and vision for this gender platform in collaboration with the NCLW team. Furthermore, the gender expert will organize at least 3 meetings with the gender focal points to define the aim of the network and set its guiding rules in a participatory approach.
