Objective:

This training introduces participants to its concepts and practices. It will stimulate ideas on how to design and implement monitoring and evaluation processes that strengthen accountability and learning, and so promote project, program and strategy effectiveness.

 

Scope of Work:

The training will be provided to staff from various departments and local NGOs. It is scheduled for two days in April 2024 at LD offices in Akkar.

 

Content and Methodology:

The trainer will cover the following topics:

  • Design logic models that later become the foundations of MEAL in projects. These tools include the Theory of Change, Results Frameworks, and Logical Frameworks (logframes).
  • Plan for MEAL using practical tools that include Performance Management Plans, Indicator Performance Tracking Tables, Summary Evaluation Tables,  etc.
  • Collect MEAL data by using well-designed qualitative and quantitative data collection tools, appropriate sampling methods, and recommended data management practices.
  • Analyze MEAL data by using quantitative statistics and qualitative methods to analyze, interpret and visualize MEAL data.
  • Use MEAL data to inform project decisions, communicate with stakeholders and practice adaptive management.

 

Trainer Qualifications:

The selected trainer must possess a deep understanding of PMEAL and a background in protection mainstreaming.

 

Deliverables:

The trainer is expected to provide comprehensive training materials, a detailed curriculum outline, participant manuals, assessment tools, and a training report. Administrative documents such as participant attendance records and Pre-post tests are also required.
