The proposed project aims at reducing community tensions in Lebanon through the increased access of Syrian and Lebanese women to economic resources, assets and benefits, the support to their ability to earn and control a livable income and build greater resilience to economic shocks and risks, and build a better communication between the refugees and the municipalities in designated areas.
Objectives:
- Improved the integration and the economic empowerment of women
- Reduce tensions between refugees and host communities
- Improve the communication between municipalities and refugees

The BIEEL (Support Business Innovation and Enhance Export for Lebanon) project, implemented by Fair Trade Lebanon and initiated by U.S. – Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) aims at creating an environment which enables business development and empowers 100 Lebanese SMEs and cooperatives by increasing their competitiveness internationally.

Fair Trade Lebanon is responsible for facilitating their access to international markets through the access to international standards and certifications.

Smallville Hotel, Badaro
Following the launching of the International Fair Trade Charter in September 2018, Fair Trade Lebanon organized a workshop on Thursday, December 13 at the Smallville Hotel gathering agrofood value chain actors and experts, small producers, sales representatives and marketing professionals.
This workshop is the first in a range of many upcoming sessions that will aim at strengthening the role of the Lebanese Association for Fair Trade Producers (LAFTP) in supporting its members through logistics, administrative means and market access.

The Senior Grant Officer creates and oversees the implementation of a strategic approach to fund development plan
which may include donations, grant solicitation and in-kind resources. He/she maintains relationships with the
adequate staff of funding bodies. He/she coordinates the implementation of grant awards and ensures post-award
compliance. He/she compiles financial (in conjunction with financial controller) and non-financial data for the
preparation of internal reports, compliance reports, and grant billings.

The project implemented by Fair Trade Lebanon in partnership with AVSI aims at improving the performance of the Lebanese Food system while building the skills and the capacity of vulnerable Lebanese and enable their resilience and sustain their Livelihoods.
In this project FTL selected 15 Cooperatives in the Zaatar and Olive Oil Value Chain whom received trainings and technical follow up aiming at improving their production and their practices. This project is divided into two separate phases. The evaluation is intended to assess the relevance, effectiveness and efficiency of the first phase.
