Purpose of the assignment:

The overall purpose of this consultancy is to assess one of Kvinna till Kvinna’s newone partner organisations in the Syria Regional Programme and to develop their organizational development plan in order to improve organisational sustainability, and to be strengthened to implement projects aiming to increase women and girls empowerment.

Kvinna till Kvinna is a non-profit organization that provides support to women rights organizations and women human rights defenders in conflict-affected areas to promote gender equality and women’s participation in all levels of decision making. Kvinna till Kvinna has established operations in the MENA region since 2001 with a regional office in Amman, Jordan, and country offices in Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq and Tunisia. Kvinna till Kvinna currently supports some 50 women’s rights organizations in eight countries in the region with organizational, thematical and financial assistance.

updating and copy-editing its inventory of information regarding diverse families within a
MENA social, cultural and historical context.

Helem is seeking applications for a consultancy-based LGBTQ+ History and Politics
Researcher to assist in updating and copy-editing its inventory of information about queer
history and politics in the Arab region.

Helem is seeking applications for a consultancy-based SOGIESC Reviewer to assist in
editing and reviewing its inventory of information regarding diverse and intersectional
understanding of sexuality with an emphasis on MENA social and cultural perspective as
well as those from the global South.

The therapist will provide 8 group sessions for 20 Syrian Women. The sessions will focus on addressing the emotional and psychological challenges that these women are facing on a micro level (personal challenges, family related challenges) and on a macro level (challenges related to their own circles and to their local communities as a whole).

Helem is seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual for a consultancy position of “Human Rights Violations Documentation Trainer”. The position will be responsible for designing and delivering training programs to educate individuals from the MENA region on documenting human rights violations against the LGBTIQ+ community and how to use the data gathered for national and international human rights advocacy. The position will work closely with members of the Services department to deliver in-person trainings and must be able and willing to travel and have a valid passport
