The Lebanese Women Democratic Gathering (RDFL) is a feminist, secular, non-governmental organization advocating for and raising awareness about the rights of women and girls in Lebanon. Founded in 1976, the RDFL is one of the oldest feminist organizations, one based on volunteerism. RDFL’s vision is to achieve equality between women and men in all spheres and to provide protection from gender-based violence. RDFL’s mission is to work on and advocate for the elimination of gender-based violence and all forms of discrimination, and to achieve full citizenship for women.

This request for applications (RFA) invites Local Non-Governmental Organizations (LNGOs) to apply for partnership funding from IRC to create a sustainable exit strategy for women at risk and survivors of gender-based violence (GBV), focusing on long-term empowerment through livelihood services and opportunities. Various services and activities will be provided to help women achieve economic independence, break the cycle of abuse, and rebuild their lives. This project will be implemented in Beirut, Mount Lebanon, and the Bekaa and is funded by the World Bank.

Background:
Elderly Palestinians living in the Beddawi and Baalbeck camps often face limited access to healthcare services, exacerbated by socio-economic challenges and mobility issues. This project is designed to address these barriers by providing comprehensive healthcare services, including medical consultations, regular home visits, and specialized care tailored to the needs of individuals aged 60 and above. By ensuring continuous medical follow-up, the initiative seeks to improve health outcomes and quality of life for this vulnerable population.

The objective of the financial audit is to obtain reasonable assurance whether the funds granted through the MFA are free from material misstatement. Based on the audit evidence obtained, the objective is thereby to express an opinion on whether the financial statements are free from material misstatement.
