The consultant will be required to deliver a training of trainers to a selected group of young men and women from various socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. This workshop will enable participants to pave the way for young change-makers by becoming coaches to new recruits of the program. Their role will contribute to ensuring the sustainability and continuity of the five-year intervention while helping consolidate the meaningful and inclusive participation of youth.

Women and girl survivors and/or at-risk of gender-based violence (GBV), from host and refugee communities, are better protected against violence and abuse through the provision of direct services.

Under the Strengthening Civil Courage project funded by the Ministry of Social Affairs the Netherlands ABAAD is hosting a workshop series with the goal of comprehensively supporting local civil society female led and/or organizations focusing on women rights, in incorporating and consolidating their capacities/knowledge in gender and ending GBV topics. This will help the organizations to better be prepared in improving their awareness and access to civic, private, and public spheres, and justice mechanisms.

The objective of the consultancy is to develop a curriculum for a training addressing violent and militarized masculinities, and promoting peaceful (or non-violent) masculinities. The curriculum should include a series of modules that can be practically used by trainers to implement virtual or in-person trainings. The modules should be easy-to-understanding and developed with a gender-transformative approach

In the MENA region, 37 percent of women experienced some form of gender-based violence (GBV), compared to 30 percent globally. One of the main drivers of this phenomenon is the harmful social norms that control what women should or should not wear.

The consultant will be required to deliver a training on critical and creative thinking and problem solving to a group of young men and women from various socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. The capacitation will equip the youth with the necessary tools to be able to identify problems with their local communities and collaboratively reflect on efficient and creative solutions. By teaching them how to operate as a unit, the youth will be deterred from resorting to black and white thinking and explore middle ground.

he project aims to increase the resilience and social stability of 12,600 Lebanese and refugee women, men, girls, and boys affected by the multi-faceted crises in Lebanon. 

Generation Gender is a five-year program that aims at positively influencing public opinion, laws and policies towards gender justice, as well as strengthening civil society to advocate for gender justice all the while combatting GBV and inequality. More specifically, the program at hand relies on an innovative and inclusive gender-transformative strategy that equips youth leaders and civil society organizations (CSOs) to address the root causes of gender inequality and foster sustainable change.
