Position: Policy Briefs Contextualization

The Middle-Way House Child Care Attendant is expected to ensure appropriate psychosocial follow up for the beneficiaries children residing at the House. Middle-way Transition House is a free, safe, supportive shelter for abused women or for women at risk of violence, both single women and women with their children.

The following task is part of ABAAD Resource Center for Gender Equality’s project on engaging youth groups to raise awareness on non-traditional gender roles within their communities through different community events.

LAU’s Institute for Women’s Studies in the Arab World (IWSAW) is currently searching for a Communication Expert (CE) for the project “Equality for Everyone: Gender Reform from Grassroots to Government.”

This project is funded by the Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) for the purpose of strengthening the relationship between existing civil society organizations and elected officials to increase government accountability and impact reform on gender related issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The PSS Animator will be responsible of the following:

Planning and Implementing the PSS activities
Reporting on the activities (daily and monthly)
Provision of, and keeping track of the refreshments and transportation fees to the participants
Following up on the attendance sheet
Meeting the deadlines and ensuring the timely submission of reports to the Program Manager
Participating in any assigned training
Being aware of the referral network
Participate in meetings with the Manager and/or Director
Attend the PSS WG on behalf of MOSAIC

LAU’s Institute for Women’s Studies in the Arab World (IWSAW) is currently searching for a Project Manager to oversee the project “Coordination and Support for the Human Rights Issue Network.”

This project is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) for the purpose of supporting and promoting “issue networks” of Civil Society Organizations, around several advocacy issues such as enhancing leadership skills of women and adolescent girls through economic empowerment and capacity building.
