NCLW is seeking to recruit a gender expert for a one year renewable contract. The gender expert will be responsible of developing national indicators for measuring Lebanon’s progress towards attaining gender equality. S/he will ensure that the chosen indicators are easily measurable with evidence of available and accurate data. S/he will also ensure that the selected indicators effectively capture the rights-based issues of gender equality and women’s rights and will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting gender based statistics, thorough research and preparing top quality analysis

BACKGROUND:
Women Now for Development is a feminist, women-lead non-governmental organization dedicated to deepening and strengthening women’s role in Syrian and Lebanese communities by enhancing their social, economic and cultural participation. Women Now was established in June 2012 by in response to the conflict in Syria and ensuing humanitarian crisis. Today, we implement programmes in four Women and Girls Safe Spaces (WGSS): two in Idlib, Syria and two in Bekaa, Lebanon, reaching thousands of beneficiaries annually.

Under the supervision of the WPE Senior Officer, the BLN Assistant will work as part of a Women’s Protection and Empowerment Team. She will be in charge of mobilizing and responding to the needs of adolescent girls in the communities and WGCCs, particularly the ones who dropped-out from school for more than two years or lack the basic learning skills.

The Grants and Finance Manager shall be dedicated to the project full-time. S/he will provide overall technical and administrative leadership in the areas of financial management and grants management for the program. S/he will participate in grants proposal writing, development and reporting. S/he will also provide guidance and practical support to the project coordinators on all matters related to accounts payable, cost allocation, monthly reporting, payroll, budget preparation, grants management contract and subcontract management, and compliance.

LAU’s Institute for Women’s Studies in the Arab World (IWSAW) is currently searching for a Project Assistant to provide support on its “LGBTQ Youth Platform” project.

This project is funded by the Embassy of the Netherlands for the purpose of empowering LGBTQ youth in Lebanon.

The Project Assistant will support the Project Managers and all relevant parties, including consultants and NGOs, to see the completion of the project in a timely manner.
