Description:
The Program Manager will oversee all project activities and be the main contact point for partners, donors and field staff:
Program Management
- Ensure project activities comply with the policies and regulations of the donor organization.
- Oversee the development and execution of project deliverables, lead project planning, budgeting, action plans and monitoring processes.
- Lead and motivate the project team and monitor project activities and project expenditure and coordinate work with consultants and volunteers in the project
- Responsible for submitting activity reports, meeting minutes and financial reports on regular basis to the management, partners and donors.
- Employ resourcefulness in project implementation and monitoring. Trouble shoot project problems. Identify and implement creative solutions.
- Ensures close collaboration and coordination with cooperating partners to guarantee smooth implementation of activities and achievement of results as specified in grant agreements.
Representation and Coordination
- Ensure program results and outcomes are communicated to relevant audiences, including donors, beneficiaries and partners
- Represent Dawlaty at relevant coordination meetings
- Participate in the development and maintenance of working relationships and coordinate with relevant international and local organizations.
- Examine and pursue funding opportunities from donors and partners, in coordination with senior management (including developing and submitting concept papers, proposals, etc)
Support to Management of Organization
- Participate in development of organizational strategy
- Participate in overall management of the office and organization
REPORTS DIRECTLY TO: Program Director
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years experience in project implementation, preferably in NGO environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of Syrian context and experience with Syrian civil society necessary
- Experience in research and advocacy strongly preferred
- Experience in coordination, joint-programming preferred
