The incumbent will work as part of the Foreigners’ Department at the Directorate General of Personal Status in Beirut or the Personal Status Offices in the Governorates of Bekaa. She/he will be responsible for supporting the Departments to register civil events that occurred in Lebanon and maintain civil registry records. She/he will report to the Head of Department.

Together with the IFRC finance personnel present at the country level (if any), the Finance Roving Officer will provide support and maintain an overarching view of the financial aspects of emergency operations in the 12 countries in the Middle East and North Africa region: (Morocco, Algeria, Tunis, Egypt, Libya, Jordan, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, and Yemen), with potential further expansion, during emergency operations, and depending on the needs.

The Berghof Foundation is an independent, non-profit organization supporting people in conflict in their efforts to achieve sustainable peace through conflict transformation and peacebuilding. Headquartered in Berlin, the organization is run by a diverse team and works with local partners around the world. Our Lebanon engagement focuses on multi-level dialogue support at the local and national level. Current process support ranges from local level dialogue relating to inclusive service provision and social cohesion to track II dialogues to support future vision-building.

Under the overall supervision and guidance of the Health program Coordinator, the Public Health Officer will manage RI’s response to Cholera outbreak in the North and Akkar areas, lead efficient communication with different sectors and key stakeholders in the area and manage reporting of suspected Cholera cases adequately. The Public Health Officer will ensure that team members will receive the necessary capacity building, will supervise the work of the Team Supervisors, follow-up on their deliverables and ensure accurate reporting.

Under the supervision and guidance of the Team Supervisor, the CHW Supervisor is responsible for the implementation of activities and tasks which are related to Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) on Cholera, awareness key messages dissemination, and suspected case investigation and referral, in the working area (North and Akkar) through outreaching plans and deliverables. The CHW Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and the capacity building of CHWs.

We are searching for a motivated community organizer that cares deeply about improving the neighborhood, can work well with all kinds of people and groups, loves green spaces, and believes in the value of public spaces and community cohesion. This position is not only for a self-starter, but someone who feels comfortable talking to people and managing events along with a basic knowledge and willingness to learn administrative skills/ computer skills. The committee of skilled residents can provide information, training, guidance and will be overseeing all projects with the community organizer.
