The Jesuit Garden Neighborhood Gathering (JGNG) has come together because of our collective interest in our community. We wish to improve the lives of people and businesses in the neighborhood and take care of our public spaces, especially the Jesuit Public Garden, one of the few green spaces in Beirut. Here we hope the community can reconnect to nature, connect to each other and feel a sense of ownership over public spaces while acknowledging the history of the garden. Ultimately, we aim to leave a legacy for future generations.

Call for Surveyors / Enumerators in the Geitawi Neighborhood - LIQAA

Call

LIQAA (the Jesuit Garden Neighborhood Gathering) is recruiting a team of 4 surveyors to begin data collection for a research & mapping project to begin in early September for approximately 4-5 weeks. The surveyors will report directly to the LIQAA Coordinator & will be based out of the Jesuit Garden & Assabil Library. The surveyors will be remunerated based on the LIQAA daily worker rate.

Mapping Consultant_Geitawi Neighbourhood

Call

The LIQAA is seeking a consultant to carry out a mapping of the Geitawi area and collect data from relevant stakeholders in order to create a map of community assets and resources within the area. Our main interest is to learn the economic situation of the neighborhood, identify potential human innovators (MSMEs), point out potential communal projects of important social relevance and learn about existing ideas to create projects and activities based on their needs.
