About NAHNOO

NAHNOO is a registered Lebanese Non-Governmental & Non-Profit Organization. NAHNOO has been working since 2009 as a research, capacity-building and advocacy platform for participatory policymaking, towards an inclusive society in Lebanon. The NGO rallies volunteers across Lebanon and through multidisciplinary and participatory research, capacity-building workshops, and grassroots activities, we provide a platform for youth and professionals to lead the planning and implementation of advocacy campaigns and gain the skills needed to impact policy-making at the local and national levels.

Objective/Benefits:

NAHNOO is opening the opportunity for a Communications Officer Intern, who will work closely with NAHNOO’s communications manager to support various outreach efforts, media relations, content creation, and digital marketing campaigns. This role offers hands-on experience in crafting compelling narratives, engaging with stakeholders, and leveraging various communication channels to advance NAHNOO's mission.

Scope of work, format and key tasks:

  • Design visually appealing graphics, posts, and promotional materials for social media channels, ensuring brand consistency and effective communication of key messages.
  • Utilize graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) to create engaging visuals, including infographics, posters, and event flyers.
  • Edit photos and videos to enhance quality and convey compelling narratives, utilizing editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, or similar tools.
  • Assist in shooting and producing multimedia content, including photos and videos, for use in digital and offline communication channels.
  • Collaborate with team members to storyboard, script, and produce video content that effectively communicates NAHNOO's mission and initiatives.
  • Maintain an organized digital asset library, including photos, videos, and design files, for easy access and retrieval by the communications team.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in digital media production and design, and contribute innovative ideas to enhance NAHNOO's communication efforts.
  • Monitor and analyze social media metrics, website traffic, and other key performance
  • Publish on our social media platforms.

Period and duration of inter

The period of the internship begins as soon as possible and ends in July 2024 for an effort for 3 days per week, 3 hours per shift.

Qualifications/level requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Proficiency in digital media tools and platforms, including social media management software, content management systems, and graphic design software.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Interest in environmental sustainability, urban development, and social justice issues.
  • Prior experience in communications, journalism, marketing, or related fields is desirable but not required.
