Technical Assistance To The Litani River Authority

The Litani River Basin Management Support (LRBMS) Program is a technical assistance activity which intends to support improved, more efficient and sustainable water resource management in the Litani River Basin through technical support to the Litani River Authority (LRA) and implementation of limited small scale infrastructure activities. LRBMS comprises four main components: capacity-building for the LRA and main stakeholders in the Litani River Basin, longterm water monitoring, integrated irrigation management, and Qaraoun Dam and Litani River monitoring systems. CRS was awarded a task order to help the International Resources Group (IRG) with stakeholder identification. Specifically, CRS was tasked with completing a desk review of relevant materials, identifying stakeholders, then interviewing these stakeholders in order to arrive at an understanding of issues around water management and potential solutions.
