Implement And Develop The Capacity Of The Lebanese Ngos

Through its range of youth empowerment, good governance, emergency response, and peacebuilding projects, CRS has had the chance to work closely with a variety of Lebanese NGOs. CRS has seen that the majority of Lebanese NGOs face certain institutional gaps (poor internal governance procedures, shaky understanding of project and budget management, and ineffective division of roles) which limit their impact. CRS therefore has developed a methodology of trainings and on-the-job coaching to build Lebanese NGOs’ capacity to implement their current projects as well as build their overall systems. CRS ensures real learning through continuous support to partners with a variety of capacity building methods. Unlike other capacity building programs that rely on one-off trainings, CRS carefully follows up training with on-the-job coaching or job shadowing opportunities or other learning methods which help partners integrate new tools or skills into their existing systems.

Overall Objectives:
Develop the organizational capacity of 4 Lebanese NGOs to a level that allows them to successfully compete for and manage grant awards. Develop financial and administrative systems for the 4 selected Lebanese NGOs to promote internal good governance, transparency, accountability and planning modeling the same democratic procedures that NGOs demand of their government.
