The Catalan Agency for Development Cooperation is implementing a European project, funded by the UE titled "MASAR for Local Governments - Maintaining Strength and Resilience.

The project is dedicated to strengthening the capacities of local governments (municipalities and municipal unions) so that they can respond to the demographic and economic pressure caused by the massive influx of Syrian refugees to structures structurally very impoverished bordering Syria.

By linking humanitarian aid and long-term development, the project will be implemented for three years in Lebanon and Iraq. The ACCD will be responsible for executing the project with municipalities in the Tripoli region, in northern Lebanon.
