Catholic Relief Services was founded by the Catholic Bishops of the United States of America in 1943, to assist the victims of World War II in Europe.
Today, our mission is to assist impoverished and disadvantaged people overseas and promote integral human development, by seeking the good of every person and of the whole person.
Motivated by our faith, we serve more than 100 million people in need in nearly 100 countries, based solely on need without regard to religion, race or nationality.
Catholic Relief Services is a member of the worldwide Caritas network.
