Job Purpose: The Case Worker plays a vital role in providing comprehensive case management for participants in accordance with international standards and the principles of Child Protection case management. The Case Worker will be guided by a child-centered approach, ensuring the child's safety, well-being, and best interests while upholding confidentiality, non-discrimination, and ethical conduct.

Job Description:

  1. Provide comprehensive individual case management for children, offering ongoing support to families in alignment with established case management steps.
  2. Deliver case management services while maintaining meticulous documentation in accordance with the National Standard Operating Procedures for case management and Global Child Protection Case Management Guidelines.
  3. Ensure immediate attention and resolution of all cases, promptly sharing relevant information with the Protection Officer for a coordinated response.
  4. Actively participate in weekly case discussion meetings with the Case Management Officer, ensuring adherence to standards of care and appropriateness of interventions.
  5. Contribute to providing awareness-raising sessions to students and their parents, fostering a supportive learning environment.
  6. Uphold the confidentiality of case management data and information throughout the entire process, including protection referrals.
  7. Receive referrals from education staff or the protection team, develop action plans, and implement appropriate responses for each case.
  8. Collaborate closely with the educational team to address any behavioral or educational challenges faced by the children, ensuring a coordinated and supportive approach.
  9. Identify gaps in Child Protection (CP) response services and referral protocols, reporting them to the Protection Officer for improvement.
  10. Conduct household visits after coordinating with the Protection Officer to gain a comprehensive understanding of the family's situation.
  11. Ensure smooth collaboration with the psychologist, facilitating a holistic approach to addressing the social and emotional needs of children and families.
  12. Develop and implement personalized family support plans based on the unique needs and circumstances of each case, ensuring a holistic approach to well-being.
  13. Conduct ongoing assessments of available community resources and services, creating a comprehensive map to facilitate effective referrals and support networks.
  14. Organize and facilitate parenting skills workshops, providing practical guidance and resources to parents for effective child-rearing practices.
  15. Actively participate in training sessions, and conferences, and attend relevant meetings to enhance knowledge and skills in the field.
  16. Conduct training sessions for staff when needed, sharing expertise and best practices in case management and child protection.
  17. Prepare and submit detailed reports on individual case management activities, documenting progress, and challenges, and submit them to the Protection Officer.
  18. Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Protection Officer or PM, contributing to the overall success of the protection programs at the learning center.

Key Performance Indicators:

  1. Working within the principles of the Code of Conduct.
  2. Ensuring that participants have access to the appropriate service.
  3. Ensuring that the Foundation’s team interacts with participants within the principles of the B&Z, especially preserving dignity and avoiding psychological harm.
  4. Achieving the required number of participants at the end of the program while ensuring the quality of work.
  5. Ensure that a safe environment is provided for the child in the institution and the school.
  6. Create positive communication with the team.

Education & Experience:

  1. Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  2. At least 2 years of experience in child protection, case management, or related fields.
  3. Strong understanding of international standards and principles of Child Protection case management.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with participants and families.
  5. Proficiency in maintaining accurate and organized case records.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  7. Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work in diverse contexts.
  8. Fluency in English and Arabic
