TFL’s founder and first CEO, Ali Dimashkieh, became aware that Lebanon faces a number of education-related problems and resolved to address them by creating a program dedicated to improving the quality of education in Lebanon by providing quality education for less privileged children.

Since 2009, TFL employs, trains and places some of Lebanon’s best graduates in under-resourced schools for two consecutive years, in a mission to minimize the educational gap. Role Summary                                                                          

The accountant is responsible for assisting the Finance Manager with general accounting procedures and tasks such as preparing monthly payroll data, performing required reports and preparing required documents for audits.

 

Main Accountabilities

  • Perform the general accounting, accounts payable, school reimbursements, cash management, financial contract accounting and reporting, payroll operations, employees’ time sheets and government registrations.
  • Prepare the monthly reconciliation of bank accounts and suppliers accounts with the respective statements.
  • Perform data filing.
  • Prepare and execute monthly payrolls’ data entry.
  • Ensure invoices received from suppliers comply with internal policies and procedures and with legal requirements as well as follow up with managers on pending invoices (i.e. containing all the legally required data, signed by relevant outlet manager, that no goods are received without the related invoice). 
  • Collect CNSS check every month from the bank.
  • Execute the data entry for the CNSS Subscriptions.
  • Scan & Print documents when requested and needed.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
-Bachelor degree in accounting, business, or finance.
-A minimum of 2-years experience in accounting department within a transaction heavy environment required.

-Proficient in written and spoken English and Arabic.

-Strong Command of Microsoft Office.

-Proficient in Excel, accounting software packages commonly used within small and medium sized organizations, and Internet based technology solutions. 

 

Working Conditions

Location: The chosen candidate will be based in Achrafieh Office. 

Working Hours:  16 hours/week which amount to 2 full working days at the office.
Package: $7.5/hour which amount to 480$/month.
Duration:
 August 1 - Nov 21 (tentative based on the maternity leave)
