Duties and responsibilities

Teacher duties and responsibilities may include the following:

  1. Attending a five-day Quality Teaching and Learning training.
  2. Planning, preparing, and delivering lessons to all students in the class or remotely; in order to facilitate active learning experiences.
  3. Developing schemes of work and face-to-face/remote lesson plans on a daily basis.
  4. Establishing and communicating clear objectives for all learning activities.
  5. Preparing classrooms for class activities or preparing instructional materials for remote teaching.
  6. Teaching according to the educational needs, abilities, and achievements of the individual students and groups of students.
  7. Providing a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities.
  8. Creating an inclusive learning environment to work with children with special needs
  9. Identifying and selecting different instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needs.
  10. Observing and evaluating students' performance and development.
  11. Providing appropriate feedback on work.
  12. Encouraging, monitoring, and promoting the general progress and wellbeing of individual students.
  13. Assessing learners’ skills in face-to-face/virtual classes, recording and reporting on the development, progress, attainment, and behavior of one’s students.
  14. Identifying learners with special needs and reporting to Education/inclusion officer.
  15. Managing student behavior in the face-to-face/virtual classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
  16. Performing certain pastoral duties including student support, counseling students with academic and behavioral problems, and providing student encouragement.
  17. Participating in school, teachers, and parent meetings.
  18. Communicating necessary information regularly to the Education/inclusion officer regarding student progress and student needs.
  19. Registering and monitoring the attendance of students under one’s care.

Qualifications, Experience & Language

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood & Elementary and/or having a teaching diploma or relevant degree.
  2. A minimum of 5 years experience as a teacher.
  3. Excellent Arabic, French, or English
  4.

Teacher job requires the candidate to be:

  1. Present in the field most of the time in the learning center.
  2. Working during a set schedule that may include weekdays and weekends.
  3. Working in multicultural settings.
