Project Officer - Nahno Volunteers

1. Project Background:

The National Youth Engagement and Volunteering project, in partnership with MoSA and funded by Unicef, aims to promote a culture of youth volunteerism and civic engagement in Lebanon through the promotion and engagement of youth and local non-government organization on Nahno-Volunteers Platform - an online platform, under the governance of the Ministry of Social Affairs, that matches youth with volunteer opportunities across Lebanon.

The aim of Nahno-Volunteers platform is to empower young people by connecting them with various engagement opportunities, helping them develop crucial skills, and actively participate in their communities. It serves as a bridge between youth and organizations. Here is how it works: upon becoming active partners on the platform, organizations, including NGOs and institutions, can post volunteer opportunities; and young individuals, upon registering on the platform, can match with these opportunities to gain invaluable volunteer experiences. 2. Duties and Responsibilities

In close coordination with the program manager, the incumbent will:

 Support in the development of the strategy and overall framework of the project and corresponding budget forecasts;
 Develop monthly action plans and ensure their timely and quality implementation in close coordination with the project team;
 Oversee quarterly and annual budget expenditure, ensuring timely financial reporting in coordination with the project team;
 Coordinate closely with communication and MEAL teams in the development of respective plans, while following up on their implementation and ensuring result-based reporting;
 Organize and coordinate capacity building sessions for project partners and youth, presenting Nahno-Volunteers as needed;
 Carry out induction sessions for partners and youth;
 Draft and oversee communications with project partners including MoSA, LiveLove, NGOs and youth  

 Draft high-quality project reports, including monthly reports for the project’s steering committee (made up of MoSA, Unicef and LiveLove), and donor reports
 Present project updates and results in internal and external meetings
