Consultancy to support structuring a project to support the effectiveness of environmental rights in Lebanon - Consultance pour structurer un projet de soutien à l’effectivité du droit de l’environnement au Liban

L'Agence Française de Développement (AFD)  is currently examining the possibility of a 6 million euro project in 2025 to support the effective implementation of the right to a healthy environment in Lebanon. In particular, this project could focus on support for Lebanese civil society organizations (CSOs), in particular their capacity to take action by financing initiatives they have launched in this area. If appropriate, the project could also consider supporting institutional actors at central and/or local level, as well as the justice system.
 

This call is of two phases:  

- The first consists in carrying out a diagnosis of the right to a healthy environment in Lebanon, its actors and issues, and in pre-identifying what could be the main interventions of a new project financed by the AFD (themes, potential project owners and amount of financing). 
- The optional phase consists of carrying out a technical and financial feasibility study, and supporting the formalization of the project.
