Position:   Child Care Attendant

 

ABAAD PURPOSE:

ABAAD aims at achieving gender equality as an essential condition to sustainable social and economic development in the MENA region. ABAAD has a proven record in working in addressing GBV in emergency settings. “Ending Gender-Based Violence: towards standardization and strengthening quality of services and direct response” is an initiative aiming at reducing the risks of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) through women, boys and girls empowerment and improving the quality of multi-sectorial assistance for women and girls survivors or at risk of GBV among the host and Syrian refugee population.

REPORTING LINES: Post holder reports to: WGSS Coordinator

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:       

  • Conduct educational activities such as story-reading and store telling.
  • Conduct Art and Crafts activities such as drawing, painting and collage.
  • Manage small groups of children by guiding them on the use of table games.
  • Identify the need of these children and provide accordingly activities that best fit their age group.

Other Activities:

  • Collaborate closely with ABAAD TEAM at the SDC women and girls safe space.
  • Prepare and submit weekly, monthly and 3 month work plans in a timely manner.
  • Participate in weekly internal meetings if advised to do so.
  • Respect for ABAAD Code of Conduct and its PSEA Policy.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor to enable and development.
