Proposal for 25 sessions of In Presence Coaching on Business Management in Hasbaya and Southern Baalbeck- Women candidates are strongly encouraged to apply

About the Program:  

LLWB, in partnership with GIZ, is conducting a program entitled “EBDA3” “Energy Efficiency for business women and digitalization awareness”, aiming to provide comprehensive support in specific energy and business developments topics to 25 women-led MSMEs in two regions: Southern Baalbek and Hasbaya, Lebanon.  

This program catalyzes the efforts of LLWB and its strong commitment in implementing the SDGs. First this program aims to ensure access to reliable, affordable and clean energy solutions for MSMEs that are localized in 2 regions of Lebanon, as it has a specific goal which is the energy sufficiency for women led businesses and entrepreneurs. In this regard in 2024, LLWB has in a first phase performed a needs assessment of the energy needs and capacities of each of the MSMEs of these regions. 

Based on it, trainings on energy efficiency tailored to the needs to each MSMEs were performed during the months of July and August 2024.  

This program has secondly a clear goal of promoting sustainable business solutions for MSMEs in time of crises, for them to be able to scale up their work, stay productive and resilient and sustain in regions that are unstable and unsafe due to the political instability. 

Gender equality is mainstreamed in this project as it empowers women in their communities and make them more self-sufficient and push them to be breadwinners.  

Based on the needs assessment performed, and on the training, sessions tailored for each MSMEs, each MSME has now a clear business development plan, and LLWB is looking now to recruit a coach to mentor these MSMe to ensure that this plan and the interventions it has developed are implemented correctly. 

Scope of coaching:  

LLWB is calling for: 

• 1 coach to conduct 25 coaching sessions, sessions that aim to provide technical assistance to address business management challenges faced by the MSMEs in Hasbaya and Southern Baalback as per the business development plan developed with them.  
• The coach needs to focus on best business management practices, including policies, Business  Plans implementation,  amendment and tailoring of business plan in time of crises, pitching presentation and Marketing strategy and hands on experience in products presentation, data sheets preparations for each MSMEs product including ensuring product overview, clear descriptions are developed, technical specifications, weight, look, contact information.  
• Each coach will need to deliver for each MSMe a clear coaching plan and personalized  guidance for marketing, networking and business planning implementation. At the end a clear report showing each MSMe clear needs should be delivered to LLWB.

Specific tasks include:  

• Delivering “one on one” coaching session for each MSMEs on best business management practices, including inclusive HR policies, Business Plans, and Marketing strategy for 25 MSMEs in Hasbaya and Southern Baalbeck.  
• Each session is of 3 hours duration at least in presence. 
• In presence in Hasbaya and in Southern Baalback tailored one to one coaching session for the 25 MSMEs 
• The Coach will monitor and ensure of the implementation and finalization of the developed Business Continuity Management Strategies report for each MSMEs with clear recommendations.  
• Identifying in a participatory approach with each MSME,  the in-kind support needed by each MSME and present them to the Project Manager and Executive Director of LLWB in a clear report for each MSMEs.  

Timeline:  
The assignment is expected to take place during the months of September and October 2024 (In person sessions).  

Qualifications:  

• The ideal candidate should possess:  
• Proven experience in business management coaching.  
• Strong background in business practices.  
• Excellent public speaking abilities in Arabic. 
•  Strong experience in working on monitoring evaluating and coaching MSMEs in peripheral regions of Lebanon.  

Deliverables:  

• Finalize the developed Business plan and ensure it is well detailed for each MSME. 
• Develop the growth plan for each MSME in the business plan. 
• Ensure the business development plan includes clear: Enhanced HR policies, financial practices, and marketing strategies for compliant data sheets related to the MSMEs products.  
• Reporting: submit a progress report for each MSMEs, as well as a final report summarizing the outcomes, in-kind support, and impact of the coaching phase for LLWB Project Manager and ED. 
• Prepare a pitching presentation for each MSMEs with clear identification of the in kind support for each MSMEs.
