ECODIT Liban is seeking the support of a biodiversity expert to conduct a biological assessment for a 2000m2 site in Ras El Metn, where a potential composting station will be located. 

The Consultant is expected to complete the following tasks:

  • Review existing studies and information regarding the biological environment (flora and fauna) in the project area;
  • Conduct the necessary site visits;
  • Identify and describe (based on site visits and literature review) the biological environment of the Project area;
  • Provide a description of anticipated impacts on the biological environment related to the implementation of the project; and
  • Propose mitigation and monitoring measures. 

The expected deliverable will be a brief report summarizing the status of the existing biological environment, potential impacts, and proposed mitigation and monitoring measures.

    The consultant must have the following experience and skills to be able to perform the tasks of the TOR: Master’s degree in Ecology, Biodiversity Conservation and Management, or other related field. Minimum of five (5) years’ work experience in conducting similar assignments. Excellent time management skills to ensure project deadlines are met. Excellent writing skills. Ability to coordinate more than one project at a time. Fluent in English and Arabic.
