The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) is a non-profit German foundation funded by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany, and headquartered in Bonn and Berlin. It was founded in 1925 and is named after Germany's first democratically elected President, Friedrich Ebert, and remains loyal to his legacy. FES is committed to the advancement of both socio-political and economic development in the spirit of social democracy, through civic education, research, and international cooperation with an  international network of offices in more than 100 countries. The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung is the oldest political foundation in Germany.
Cooperation with Lebanon started as early as 1966, which makes FES also one of the oldest international NGOs currently present in the country.

FES in Lebanon is looking for a part-time Programme Manager (75%) for its regional project on feminism and gender justice. The project aims at integrating feminist perspectives on socio-economic issues into public discourse, fostering long-term alliances that link feminism with broader social justice movements, and providing the space for exchange around various gender issues. The project also works towards strengthening gender mainstreaming across FES offices in the MENA region and contributes to FES’ global work on feminism and gender justice.
