Basmeh & Zeitooneh is calling for experts to join the Fostering Refugee Leadership Program to support startup and local CSOs in Lebanon, to share their experience and expertise with the participants.

Through the Fostering Refugee Leadership Program, the refugee community in Lebanon will have more agency in their lives, to have a say and be able to influence the solutions that suit them. It all starts with them identifying the problems, the root of the problems, their needs, the obstacles, and then they will decide on the best solutions for their community. Basmeh & Zeitooneh role’s will be to facilitate this road and provide the necessary resources.

The FRL Program will pursue the actualization of the below two main objectives:

  • 40 refugee-led and co-lead initiatives are supported through capacity building programs
  • 15 initiatives (out of the 40 initiatives) will benefit from medium grants provision schemes that will fully or partially finance the implementation of their community programs and interventions as per the community needs.

The project aims to develop and empower civil society by providing professional training and coaching through an in-depth analysis of the needs of civil society organizations and the continuous follow-up of these organizations during the training period.

Joining the FRL Program requires higher education and experience in organizational capacity assessment.

Experts will be responsible for the technical and organizational structural support that may include, but is not limited to the following tasks:

  • Develop a Capacity assessment tool that is in line with the project objectives for 40 refugee-led and co-lead initiatives and organizations.
  • Analyze refugee-led and co-lead initiatives and organizations’ capacity needs and determines the proper training method for each of them.
  • Prepare written recommendations and indicators for the improvement of the refugee-led and co-lead initiatives and organizations’ performance and measure the development of the participant organizations.

Experts must perform tasks physically and know advanced Arabic and have experience in a similar project that targets civil society.

Experts must perform the above-mentioned tasks within a period of 45 days.

Job Location: Beirut, Bekaa, Baalbak-Hermel, North Lebanon, Akkar, and South Lebanon.
