USAID’s “Quality Instruction towards Access and Basic Education Improvement” (QITABI -2) is a five-year program seeking to improve learning outcomes for all students in public primary schools in Lebanon. Its activity targets an estimated 200,000 girls and boys, including those who are registered in second shifts of public schools.
World Learning has an immediate vacancy for a Beirut-based “Instructional Designer” for the USAID-funded Quality Instruction Towards Access and Basic Education Improvement (QITABI-2) in Lebanon.

The minimum age of the applicant should be 18 years and up to 26. The candidate must be a national or legal resident of the country of assignment.

The safety and security trainer will deliver a 3-days -training to the COA members in which they will acquire higher knowledge and skills on safety and security from a broad perspective to a narrowed one. The training will be of a use on the long term where trainees will be able to asses security and safety context and adapt their work and outreach accordingly. The trainer will also be responsible of developing a unified safety and security plan with the members that will be used as reference material by the CoA members and beyond. Position Summary:
The Expert will work with a selected COOP specialized in olive press in the North of Lebanon/Akkar to assess the facility’s premises and operations to determine the current housekeeping and hygiene practices/gaps and ways of improvement for better quality of olive oil. The expert will be working under the supervision of the Community Support Program- CSP and in close coordination with the Senior Capacity Building Manager.

The Expert will work with selected COOPs (maximum of five COOPs) in the Beqaa, South and North of Lebanon to promote and market their products through supporting them in the development of market linkages. The expert will be working under the supervision of the Community Support Program Technical Assistance Task Order 3 and in close coordination with the Senior Capacity Building Manager.

SPARK has entrepreneurship and employment support programmes financed by Islamic Development Bank, European Union and Google based in Lebanon, with some activities in Jordan. The objectives of the programmes are to contribute to increased resilience and poverty reduction of refugees and vulnerable members of the host communities in Lebanon and Jordan. Some travel is required.
