USAID’s “Quality Instruction towards Access and Basic Education Improvement” (QITABI -2) is a five-year program seeking to improve learning outcomes for all students in public primary schools in Lebanon. Its activity targets an estimated 200,000 girls and boys, including those who are registered in second shifts of public schools.
World Learning has an immediate vacancy for a Beirut-based “Instructional Designer” for the USAID-funded Quality Instruction Towards Access and Basic Education Improvement (QITABI-2) in Lebanon.

Main Responsibilities
• Performs the design of the e-content resources, development, execution, and testing of instructional materials
• Develops instructional material, coordinates with SMEs to produce educational content, and incorporates current technology for developing the e-content
• Interacts with SMEs in planning and scoping requirements for e-content development
• Leads on storyboarding, authoring, and development of e-learning content and blended learning solutions
• Reviews and tests e-content from other team members, provides feedback and suggestions for improvement
• Works closely with SMEs, illustrator, animator, and e-content developer to convert the content into student-friendly interactive e-material
• Designs and develops supporting aides for print, classroom resources, and materials

Required Qualifications:
• Degree in educational technology or related field, preferred MS
• 5+ years of experience using course authoring tools and/or in the technology industry
• Extensive experience in developing/transforming original and innovative instructor-led e-content materials
• Advanced experience working with e-learning and blended learning programs, web-based e-content development, and asynchronous learning content
• Capacity to make effective and animated PPT presentations
• Familiarity with learning theory and instructional design techniques
• Excellent written and oral English or French and Arabic skills for the purpose of documentation development, curriculum development, editing, and communication
• Familiarity with Moodle, Teams, and Google Classrooms is recommended
• Familiarity with copyright laws and Creative Commons
• Understanding of varied learning styles with recommended experience
• Highly self-motivated and self-managed; ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal coaching or supervision
• Ability to work in a team
• Ability to organize and work under strict time and production deadlines, while producing quality deliverables
