The Knowledge Workshop is looking to hire a researcher to work on feminist and women’s histories in Lebanon, with a focus on the 1940s.

Oxfam in Lebanon is increasingly working at local, national and international levels to “ensure that women and men are protected and empowered to enjoy their basic rights and access services enabling them to live in dignity within a more equitable society.” To achieve this vision, Oxfam in Lebanon implements activities under three main programmatic pillars, which are the Governance and Economic Justice pillar, the Humanitarian Pillar, and the Beirut Response Pillar (in response to the Beirut blast of August 4th, 2020).

DRC has been responding to various humanitarian crises in Lebanon since 2004, working with Palestinian, Iraqi and Syrian refugees. DRC received registration from the Ministry of Interior in 2011, and since then has focused primarily on responding to the Syrian refugee crisis in Lebanon and the resulting impact on Lebanese host community. DRC Lebanon’s focus is to ensure that we are able to respond to critical emerging humanitarian needs whilst improve the living conditions of displacement-affected populations and contribute to the achievement of durable solutions.

The main task of the survey officer is to gather data to be used in a study investigating
the potential economic and social benefits and effects of decriminalizing same-sex
relationships under Lebanese law. The survey officer will lead the entire data
collection and documentation process. All information must be gathered over the
phone or in person with a population sample up to 300 individuals.

CSE - Project Coordinator

We are looking for highly motivated individuals for our analyst program. Analysts can join for 6 or 12 months and be based at one of our offices in Lebanon, India, Tunisia, and Sudan.* The program is designed to maximize the analyst’s own potential while providing a hands-on opportunity to experience a wide variety of assignments with our international clients and partners. Analysts will contribute to our work by applying critical and creative thinking on research and analysis and by supporting our consultants on projects.

The NGO Network Representative is a management position and is responsible for overall leadership, strategic direction, and facilitation of coordination between both national and international members of the network, the elected Steering Committee, and external stakeholders. The coordination entails ensuring effective information exchange, representation and advocacy on common positions and agreed interests of the NGO Network as well as the wider NGO community.

OVERALL PURPOSE
The overall purpose of the job is to strategize, plan and deliver impactful communications, storytelling and content for Greenpeace MENA, across media and platforms. This role will support in enhancing the public image and impact of Greenpeace and its campaigns in the MENA region, to have a good understanding of the target audience and to draft the content that speaks to them.
