Psychologist - internship
We are looking for a Psychologist intern willing to take part in workshops targeting children and young people, parents, educators, schools and NGOs. We are aware that due to the current situation, people are struggling by trying to cope with anxiety, depression, stress and future uncertainties. At ScoreHub, and with the team of psychologists, you would be helping in designing and delivering workshops targeting current psychological needs. These workshops may include self-care, coping with anxiety and stress, and helping young people deal with low mood during the Covid-19 pandemic. Another task would be carrying awareness sessions to the target populations. The psychologist’s role is to help students, families, and educators overcome emotional and behavioral difficulties and develop better ways to cope.
- Provide psychological services for our learners.
- Provide individual and/or group psychotherapy.
- Provide interviews, diagnosis, reports, and recommendations, when needed.
- Help individuals with experienced emotional difficulties & mentally disturbed functions cope better.
- Respecting confidentiality and the right of the beneficiary.
- Conduct awareness sessions with beneficiaries.
- Work directly with the social worker to develop intervention plans and follow up at the home level.
- Address needs and requests in a professional way.
- Report any incident or act that causes any harm to the beneficiary or to others to the founder.
- Demonstrate a working understanding of mental health and psychosocial challenges experienced by learners.
- Working knowledge of child and adolescent stages of the motor, social, and emotional development.
- Helping students discover ways to know themselves better.
- Easing students emotional pain and confusion.
- Helping students develop better ways to cope with behavioral problems.
- Reducing negative and unhealthy thoughts in ScoreHub’s students.
- Teaching students how to utilize their skills and abilities to help the wider community.
- Helping students build positive relationships at home and with siblings.
- Encouraging students to have a positive outlook and influence on society.
- Focus on student’s positive experiences, positive states, and traits (resilience, compassion...).
- Previous experience with NGOs
- Provide workshops as Parenting skills, self-care, teaching methods, positive psychology, etc...
- Provide training inside and outside ScoreHub for children/parents/teachers/etc.…
