SCOPE OF WORK:

Under the overall supervision and the support of MOSAIC’s Director and Program Officer, the consultant will be providing PSS sessions for  the most isolated LGBTIQ+ individuals - in need to be in the collective- survivors at risk of violence and their families.

The facilitator is expected to submit a report within a week after the sessions are completed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The consultant will be responsible of the following:

  • Developing the training’s content and teaching aids including the agenda, training methodology, handouts, evaluation forms and pre and post tests, which will be discussed and approved by the MOSAIC team.
  • Developing comprehensive and interactive training materials for the most isolated LGBTIQ+ individuals-in need to be in the collective- survivors or at risk of violence and their families.
  • Run  group sessions with people receiving case management services or survivors  or at risk of violence and their families.
  • Evaluate therapy outcomes and write reports (daily and monthly)
  • Meet the deadlines and ensure the timely submission of reports to the Project Manager
  • Planning and Implementing the Emotional support activities
  • Following up on the attendance sheet
  • Participate in meetings with the Manager and/or Director (internal meetings)

Qualifications and Skills:

  • University degree or higher education relevant to social work, gender studies or other relevant fields;
  • Thorough understanding of best practices and strategies in SGBV response (case management, psychosocial support, etc.) and SGBV primary prevention and risk reduction;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Experience in conducting training needs analysis/assessments and developing training programs for a broad range of audiences from different institutional levels;
  • Priority to candidates who have experience and a strong understanding of alternative Sexual Orientations and Gender Identities, particularly with the LGBTIQ+ Community;
  • Social work experience is preferable;
  • Experience in the humanitarian field is preferable;
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is required
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in the SGBV field.
