DESCRIPTION: CALL FOR HEALTH TRAINER

BACKGROUND and JUSTIFICATION :  
MOSAIC is a holistic program committed to improve the health and wellness of Marginalized group in Lebanon and beyond. Through its national presence in Lebanon and its regional networks in the MENA region, MOSAIC strategic goal is to achieve the coexistence of people in friendly communities and national systems. Founded by activists and legal and health experts, MOSAIC will provide comprehensive services for the Marginalized groups, research and advocate for policy reform, build knowledge and capacities on SOGIESC (Sexual Orientation & Gender Identity/Expressions, and Sex Characteristics) issues, and engage the societies in the fight against human rights violations, especially against LGBTIQ rights violations.

SCOPE OF WORK:

Mosaic Youth Program (MYP) is currently seeking passionate and experienced trainers to join our team and work under the overall supervision of MOSAIC’s General Director and MYP coordinator.

If you possess expertise in Public health training, including topics such as sexual and reproductive health, mental health, environmental health and nutrition, we invite you to be a part of our mission to nurture and guide the next generation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct interactive and informative health training sessions for youth, focusing on sexual and reproductive health, mental health, environmental health, nutrition, and public health.
  • Tailor training content to address the unique needs and concerns of young participants, fostering a safe and open learning environment.
  • Provide guidance and support to empower youth in making informed decisions regarding their health and well-being.
  • Collaborate with the mYP team to develop engaging and relevant health education programs.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a health trainer, specializing in topics related Public Health.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with young participants on sensitive health topics.
  • Experience working with the LGBTIQ community.
  • Ability to create dynamic and interactive training sessions that promote understanding and awareness.
  • Stay updated on current health trends and evidence-based practices in the specified areas.
  • The health trainer should adopt an intersectional and political approach towards such topics.
  • Genuine commitment to promoting holistic well-being and health equity among youth.
