Job Statement

The Lebanon Mountain Trail Association (LMTA) was established in October 2007 to develop, protect and promote the Lebanon Mountain Trail (LMT). LMTA is a non-profit, non-political and secular organization. Its vision is to maintain the 470km path for hiking and recreation, while protecting and conserving the cultural and natural heritage along the trail, and providing opportunities for sustainable income. 

The LMT Association is seeking a motivated and experienced Fundraising Manager to be responsible for raising money for the Association by addressing various donors and to play an instrumental role in ensuring that fundraising strategies are achieved and the Association’s goals are exceeded. Fund raising efforts will be mostly local but may possibly extend outside of Lebanon.

 

Key Responsibilities

•    Participate in developing a fundraising strategy 
•    Identify, approach and build relationships with major donors, key corporations, companies 
•    Build relationships with and retain existing/previous LMTA donors 
•    Populate a database and use it to manage donor profile and fundraising activity
•    Ensure that new donors are brought on board
•    Work with staff to mobilize and align communications with the targeted fundraising results
•    Spot fundraising opportunities and raise awareness of the Association’s mandate and objectives, 
•    Endeavour to make as much progress as possible in reaching fundraising strategy targets
•    Send frequent donor impact reports and keep donors informed of progress and milestones
•    Ensure a high donor retention rate
•    Provide guidance and assistance in organizing fundraising events, secure sponsorship for events, and help in selling event tickets.

Profile Required

•    5+ years in a similar role, preferably with an NGO
•    Good at researching and devising strategies and opportunistically taking advantage of donation possibilities
•    Must be adept at people management, building long-term relationships with potential donors or volunteers and persuasively explaining the LMTA’s mandate and objectives. 
•    Ability to manage budgets and hit fundraising targets
