1. Brief Information of the Project:

              JWF is implementing a project in partnership with Deutsche Gesellschaft für International Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), within the Framework of Promoting Gender Responsive and Inclusive Politics and Economy in the MENA Region – WoMENA.

             The project aims to empower women and girls in Lebanon by fostering their active participation in political and economic spheres within a safe, inclusive, and gender-responsive and transformative community through strengthening vulnerable beneficiaries accessing social cohesion and protection services and supporting companies, NGO’s, women’s and gender networks to implement innovative approaches to strengthen women’s participation.

     

     

  3. Request:
  4.           Justice Without Frontiers is seeking to hire a consultant to write a policy paper about women economic empowerment.

    The consultant will conduct research on women's economic empowerment and its connection to cybercrimes and gender-based violence (GBV). This research will assess the impact on the community, gather recommendations, and aim to enhance women's political participation.

     

  5. Time Schedule:

            Justice Without Frontiers shall contract the consultant for the anticipated consultancy agreement from September till November 15 ,2024.

     

     

  7. Scope of work and deliverables
  8.  

    -        Conduct a desk review of existing literature, studies, researches on women’s economic empowerment, how cybercrimes and gender-based violence (GBV) impact women’s economic opportunities and participation focusing on successful case studies, current gaps, and best practices.

    -        Interview key stakeholders, including policymakers, women’s organizations, business leaders, and affected individuals, to gain diverse perspectives and insights.

    -        Draft the policy paper, incorporating research findings, analysis, and recommendations .

    -        Present the key finding and recommendations during the national roundtable that JWF will organize in November.

     

  9. Skills and Experience required:
  10.        Bachelor degree in social and human science or relevant field
  11.        Previous 5 years of experience in NGOs
  12.        Experience in writing policies
