Small Grants Consultant Short Term Technical Assistance

You will:

- Support the management of the full cycle of the small grants and contracts, including solicitation, review, execution, implementation, monitoring, communication with grantees and closeout.

- Have responsibility for the day to day monitoring of grant and contract distribution and activities under the project

- Develop the small grant concepts and contract in coordination with the program team and grantee

- Assist in the development of small grants documents such as RFAs, grant and agreements, and evaluation and selection process

- Maintain documentation and reporting in accordance with USG and IWPR rules and regulations and save them on IWPR online filing system.

- When applicable conduct pre-award reviews of possible grantee organizations, in addition to periodic monitoring reviews during implementation and at close-out

- Coordinate with grantees, IWPR Social Media, and Advocacy Specialist the advocacy the online advocacy strategy through grantees portals and IWPR portals.

- Work directly with the Senior Program Coordinator and Program Associate.

 

The successful candidate will have:

- A degree in journalism, public relation, business administration, international affairs, or similar related field

- At least three (3) years of progressive experience in developing and monitoring of small grants and advocacy campaigns

- Working experience in development or humanitarian environment is desirable

- Excellent online campaigning skills, including the ability to develop and deliver online content relevant IWPR’s campaign objectives

- A strong grasp of metrics and reporting tools and an ability to analyse this data to provide meaningful insights

- Effective networking skills

- Proven familiarity with Syrian context and an excellent understanding of the conflict issues and community security.

- Good communication skills and high flexibility.

- Fluency in spoken and written Arabic and English is essential.
