About Euromed Clusters Forward:
Euromed Clusters Forward is a 4-year project that aims at establishing and improving clusters legal policies, strengthening clusters capacity & regional cooperation, and strengthening regional value chains. Berytech is the implementing partner of Euromed Clusters Forward in Lebanon, that is funded by the European Union and coordinated by Anima Investment Network with 3 implementing partners and 9 affiliates from the Euromed region.
About the Academy:
Berytech is launching the EuroMed Clusters Forward Face-to-Face Academy, a three-day intensive capacity-building program designed to enhance the financial and sustainability strategies of 5-6 clusters from the South-Med region. The academy will equip over 15 Cluster Managers and Board Members with practical tools to develop robust financial strategies, monetize their services, and plan for long-term financial sustainability.
This academy program features up to 24 hours in total of expert training sessions, tailored interventions, and field visits to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among participants. The Capacity Building Academy empowers clusters by strengthening their financial management, optimizing resource use, and integrating sustainable business models into their core strategies. The goal is to drive long-term growth, improve access to finance, and enhance competitiveness in the rapidly evolving global market, positioning these clusters for sustainable economic impact.
The training will be delivered in Egypt on November 26, 27, 28, 2024 and conducted in English.
Coverage: Berytech covers the expertise expenses, travel, transportation and accommodation to Egypt for 4 nights.
The Expert will be responsible for:
1- Preparations & Needs assessment – October & November 2024 (Online):
- Work closely with Berytech to develop an agenda for the academy.
- Conduct remote needs assessment meetings with cluster representatives to customize the training content using relevant tools (e.g., a financial management canvas…).
- Understand the Cluster's Existing Financial Models: revenue streams, cost structure, and financial strategies. Develop the 16-hours training materials including presentations, templates, tools, canvas… and ensure they are aligned with the needs of participants specifically on:
- Validation of market strategies for clusters and services, ensuring alignment with industry needs and market demand.
- Foundations of financial management tailored for clusters, focusing on effective budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation.
- Exploration of diverse funding mechanisms and revenue streams and practical application methods to secure financial support for clusters and reducing dependency on single income sources.
- Maximizing the monetization of services by leveraging existing resources and capabilities within the cluster.
- Developing comprehensive long-term financial and sustainability strategies, integrating economic growth with environmental and social considerations.
2-Training Facilitation – 26, 27, 28 November 2024 (Cairo, Egypt):
- Facilitate a hands-on, interactive financial management training program for 15+ Cluster Managers and Board Members on 3 days.
- Accompany the clusters during their field visits.
3-Reporting – 2 weeks following the academy (Online):
- Submit a Needs Assessment Report summarizing the findings from pre-training consultations with cluster representatives.
- Submits all the training materials used during the academy.
- Provide a Post-Training Report that includes:
- A summary of the training activities, tools used, and participant engagement.
- An assessment of participants’ knowledge and a recommendation for future steps to enhance the clusters' financial management capabilities.
- The report must be delivered in high-quality English.
- - Needs Assessment Report: Tailoring the training to the specific needs of the clusters.
- - Training Materials and delivery: Includes presentations, tools, and templates used during the sessions.
- - Post-Training Report: A comprehensive report evaluating the training, participant outcomes, and recommendations for future improvements.
- Following the selection of the consulting agency/ expert, Berytech team will closely coordinate with them to develop the agenda.
- The expert will first conduct a needs assessment with the selected clusters, then develop the training material that shall include hands-on tools, relevant information & templates.
- The expert will then prepare the training materials and share with Berytech any printing and material requirements minimum 1 week prior to the academy.
- The expert will deliver the training in 26, 27, 28 November 2024.
- The expert will share the report within a timeline of 2 weeks following the academy.
- Extensive experience in financial, strategic, and sustainable management, particularly within clusters and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) support.
- Proven expertise in delivering financial training programs content and tools for a variety of stakeholders, ensuring practical applicability and engagement.
- In-depth knowledge of cluster funding opportunities and available resources, with the ability to guide stakeholders in accessing these mechanisms.
- Familiarity with the South-Med region and a demonstrated ability to work effectively in multicultural environments.
- Fluency in both English and Arabic is essential.

The Application should include:
- Technical proposal describing the methodology, content of the academy and tools that will be used during the academy.
- Financial proposal describing the costs incurred in preparing and providing the academy. The financial proposal shall be quoted in EURO.
- Portfolio of the training events previously organized
- CVs of any individual(s) involved in the academy.
