Position Summary 

The Project Officer will work closely with the Project Coordinator. This person will be responsible for the quality of implementation of the project aimed at empowering communities, particularly youth.

The officer will: 

  • Ensure that the INJAZ program is being delivered in high quality and according to INJAZ Lebanon’s Program Implementation Standards (PIS) and donors’ standards
  • Support the Project Coordinator in the outreach of youth and the Monitoring & Evaluation of the project
  • Ensure that good coordination with all project’s stakeholders is maintained

The Project Officer will be reporting to the Project Coordinator.

Responsibilities

Program implementation and quality

 

  • Knowledgeable of INJAZ Lebanon implemented the program and ensures that it is being delivered according to the Programs Implementation Standards shared by the Regional Office and the donors’ standards
  • Follow-up with implementing stakeholders to ensure smooth running and quality delivery of the project
  • Organize and gather required documentation from the beneficiaries, suppliers, coaches, trainers, volunteers, and other stakeholders
  • Schedule the implementation in Beirut, Mount Lebanon, North, and Bekaa areas and update them daily on the delivery sheet
  • Organize sessions and activities and coordinate with all parties involved
  • Attend and support most implementation sessions in the region to maintain program quality

Community Partners and Youth Outreach:

  • Support in Youth Outreach
  • Support the Project Coordinator and the Project Manager in identifying community partners
  • Ensure that good communication & coordination is maintained with community partners (current and identified) and assist in the registration of youth as per agreed targets
  • Conduct program presentation

 

Assist in Trainers’ Management

  • Ensure good coordination and positive relationships with the area trainers and get their regular feedback on the project
  • Organize sessions between implementing partners and trainers
  • Assist if needed in the preparation of training workshops for project trainers

 

  • Monitoring & Evaluation
  • Collect data for the implemented program (pre-post tests, attendance sheets, pictures, testimonials, trainers’ feedback) for reporting purposes
  • Update database, and information sheets and insert data collected on reporting sheets
  • Assure that all information sheets and delivery schedules are updated at all times

 

Logistics & Administrative Support

 

  • Coordinate and manage on a daily basis the food of the youth
  • Organize transportation for the students when needed
  • Arrange the Invoices and Receipts of the suppliers and provide them to the finance department on a bimonthly basis
  • Assist the area project coordinator in identifying and managing project-related suppliers and service providers in the region
  • Ensure that delivery rooms are well equipped and ready for the implementation
  • Ensure availability of all program materials and coordinate with the Project Coordinator on printing requirements
  • Organize the project’s logistics

 

 Training and Capacity Building

  • Assist in developing training materials and managing content on the INJAZ Campus and resources for trainers and volunteers.
  • Provide guidance and support to trainers and volunteers to ensure they are well-prepared and effective in their roles.

  • Attend team meetings and contribute to team efforts
  • Undertake other related duties, as assigned or requested by the Project Coordinator

Position Qualifications: Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Social Science, Public Administration, or another relevant field. Familiarity with the food and agriculture sector
  • 1-2 years of professional experience in education, business, or social sector
  • Sincere interest in the mission of INJAZ Lebanon and entrepreneurship
  • Knowledgeable of the ecosystem (Education, NGOs, Community centers)  
  • Strong relationship-building and presentation skills 
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure 
  • Highly organized and motivated, ability to multitask in a timely manner, team player
  • Excellent English and Arabic spoken and written skills
  • Good organizational skills, ability to prioritize workload, proactive approach to meeting deadlines with limited supervision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Be outgoing and dynamic
