The Opportunity

The Accountability assistant will support the implementation of accountability mechanisms and ensure that all feedback from stakeholders is handled effectively. This role involves assisting with the management of accountability systems, data collection, and reporting. This role aims to ensure that the voices of children and communities are heard, respected, and acted upon in a timely and effective manner.

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Development Studies, Anthropology, Sociology, Social Work, International Relations, or related fields).
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a humanitarian or development context.
  • Experience with feedback handling systems is an advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in Arabic and good written and spoken English.
  • Demonstrated basic knowledge of accountability mechanisms.
  • Demonstrated strong experience with database entry and management, with attention to details.
  • Personal and organizational skills, including time management and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong computer literacy, with good level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ablity to work effectively with people from various groups and background.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to changing environments.
  • Commitment to child rights and safeguarding principles.
