World Vision Lebanon (WVL) is seeking to partner with local NGOs and CSOs to implement the Gender and Disability Inclusive Regreening (GDIR) Project in Akkar, Lebanon. This initiative aims to combat deforestation, restore natural landscapes, and enhance community resilience to climate and related shocks through a gender and disability-inclusive approach. As of the end of April 2012, the number of Syrian families displaced in the Bekaa has increased to 2,800 households. Families registered with local partners receive kits of dry food, but they have requested more variety and choice in food items.
