Consultancy Overview:

The Hariri Foundation is calling for a General Practitioner to undertake a short term consultancy in Ambulatory Care. The GP will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team at the Hariri Social & Medical Center (Saida), collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality and patient-centered care. The GP will play a crucial role in expanding access to healthcare services, providing timely medical care to patients in a remote clinic setting in Saida and neighboring towns. The primary responsibility of the expert is to offer comprehensive healthcare services, including medical consultations, diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care.


Key Responsibilities

Medical Consultations

  • Conduct consultations with patients in marginalized communities to assess their medical conditions.
  • Diagnose illnesses and prescribe appropriate medications or treatments.
  • Provide medical advice, follow-up care, and referrals as needed.
  • Perform epidemiological analysis on the medical history of patients

Patient Counselling

  • Educate patients on preventive healthcare measures and lifestyle modifications.
  • Promote health and wellness through patient-centered counseling.

Medical Records Management

  • Document patient information, treatment plans, and prescribed medications in compliance with regulatory standards.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, specialists, and support staff, to coordinate patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, addressing their concerns and providing clear explanations about their health conditions.

Compliance and Quality Assurance

  • Adhere to all relevant legal and ethical standards in the Ambulatory Clinic
  • Implement quality assurance measures to ensure that the highest standards of care are maintained.

 

Total Days Per Week: 1 to 4 days (to be agreed to on a weekly basis)

Total Hours Per Day: 4 Hours


  • Qualifications

  • Medical degree from a recognized institution.
  • License for professional practice as GP in Lebanon
  • Valid and current medical license.
  • Over 15 years of proven experience as a General Practitioner/Family Medicine Specialist
  • Familiarity with Ambulatory Care Services
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic Language.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in an Ambulatory Clinic setting.
  • Competency in using electronic medical record systems.
  • Demonstration of ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care.
  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving Ambulatory Clinic settings in different areas in Saida and neighboring towns.
