Fundraising consultancy

Expertise France is seeking the services of a Fundraising expert to build the capacities of one of its local partners: the Kayany Foundation. 

Kayany aims at supporting Lebanese and Syrians in the Bekaa through Education and Food Security programs. Focusing on the most vulnerable, and mainly children, it operates in the Bekaa and runs several schools. The consultant, an expert in Fundraising, Grants and Project Development, with proven experience in the humanitarian sector (experience with LNGOs is a must), especially within the Lebanese context, will meet with Kayany’s team and develop a Fundraising Plan and Strategy. Following the finalization of the plan, the consultant will present the final document to Kayany’s team. 

Key Tasks and Deliverables 

The consultant, an expert in Kayany, especially within the Lebanese humanitarian sector, with proven experience working with LNGOs, will work with Kayany on the following: 

Phase 1: 

Develop a fundraising strategy to secure funding. 

Map potential donors and their requirements. 

Train the team on Fundraising modalities such as crowdfunding, fundraising events, fundraising campaigns, and more (all within the sector but also with the public and the private sector). 

Coaching on the development of one fundraising campaign or vent. 

Phase 2:  

Organize a workshop through which the Fundraising Strategy will be presented to Kayany’s team with clear steps to implement its content. 

Prepare a final report which will lay out all the process, Kayany meeting notes/minutes, and ensure that an attendance sheet is filled regarding the workshop to be organized.  

Roles and Responsibilities 

The Consultant 

Closely coordinate with Expertise France regarding the activities to be implemented. 

Ensure regular communication with both Kayany and Expertise France throughout the capacity strengthening process. 

Organize a workshop to present the results to Kayany’s team. 

Validate with Expertise France all the material produced. 

Prepare a final consultancy report which will lay out all the process, Kayany’s meeting notes/minutes, and ensure that an attendance sheet is filled regarding the workshop to be organized.  

Expertise France 

Expertise France will contract the consultant and through the project management team will oversee: 

Developing and finalizing the terms of reference and contract. 

Reviewing and approving all expected deliverables with the consultant. 

Supporting the consultant in connecting and meeting with Kayany as relevant. 

Overall monitoring of the assignment activities and the delivery of milestones. 

Qualifications 

Degree in Humanitarian and Development, Business, Communication and/or Public Relations. 

Minimum of 5 years of experience in project development, and fundraising with non governmental organizations, especially in the Lebanese context.. 

Minimum of 3 years of delivering capacity strengthening sessions to humanitarian and human rights organizations under the required thematic. 

Professional working knowledge of Arabic and English is compulsory. 

Extensive experience in delivering the requirements mentioned. 

Ability to communicate, negotiate and adapt to work requirements.
