KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Support a team of psychosocial support animators
  • Act as a nonspecialized psychosocial support (PSS) and child protection case management officer
  • Respond to referrals from animators, the community, and other service providers, validating needs and assessing children using standardized tools.
  • Develop and monitor focused PSS plans and conduct individual sessions to meet children's needs.
  • Guide animators in adapting activities for children in focused PSS.
  • Manage case files for children under protection, adhering to CPCM standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinate with mental health specialists for cases requiring specialized intervention.
  • Conduct outreach visits and meetings with stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation and ensure confidentiality of cases.
  • Assess and report on serious cases requiring immediate action.
  • Lead group activities and awareness sessions for caregivers on relevant topics.
  • Support facilitators in organizing recreational and sports activities.
  • Establish service mapping and conduct community awareness sessions.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly reports as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Education/Training/ Certification:

Bachelor degree in psychology or social science or any other related field

  1. Experience

1-2 years of experience in NGOs, with a focus on psychosocial support programs, and child protection.

  1. Technical Skills
  • Computer literacy in outlook, MS Word, excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated skills in assessment, evaluation, and technical training.
  • Knowledge of Protection Principles, Case Management, and Survivor-Centered Care.
  1. Competences / Personal Attributes
  • Strong communication skills, ability to effectively relay instructions, and listen to children and caregivers' needs.
  • Positive and professional attitude, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking.
  • Flexible, self-motivated, and responsive to program challenges.

  • Adhere to Nabaa's Code of Conduct, Child Protection, Prevention from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse, anti-harassment, gender, and diversity policies.
  • Report any potential breaches of policies to the Focal Point.
  • Promote the practices and values set out in all Nabaa Policies and Procedures.
