General objective of the job
Perform accounting functions as assigned, including keeping accurate reports of daily transactions weekly cash count and monthly reconciliations.
Preparing financials reports to donors
Prepare monthly budget follow up (BFU) and salary allocations.
Assist external auditors with any needed requirements.
Control and manage organization liquidity and financial status.
Review and insure the implementation of the project and donors financial procedures,
Assist with creating and implementing new financial policies and systems.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with high level of difficulty.
The individual will be expected to work with minimal up-front guidance and take ownership of their work product.
The individual will work closely with project manager of the project and Mousawat Board if needed
Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook or similar programs.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of major accounting software packages for general ledger.
Strong analytical and accounting skills
Thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles for NGOs.
