Borderless is looking for an experienced and certified art therapist who will be providing TOT for  teachers

This Request for Proposal (RFP) is an invitation to companies/firms/individuals to submit proposals for a Art Therapy Consultant  for Borderless NGO. The intent is to obtain information leading to the selection of an appropriate candidate that will best meet the needs of the organization.
Respondents who are selected for further consideration will be invited to live interview to finalize the selection.

  1. About the organization

Borderless is a non-governmental organization (NGO) with a mission to uplift marginalized communities, particularly in Lebanon. Our vision is to address structural barriers to overcoming hardships faced by disadvantaged and at-risk populations, including patterns of discrimination, lack of access to essential services, conflict, and social disorder. Our focus areas include providing support to children, youth, and women through integrated programs aimed at education, livelihood, protection, advocacy, and capacity-building.

  1. Assignment Overview

 

  1. This assignment aims to address the emotional and psychological needs of children and youth through art therapy interventions. The primary objectives of the Training of Trainers (TOT) program are:
  • To provide facilitators with a comprehensive understanding of art therapy principles, techniques, and ethical considerations.
  • To empower facilitators to integrate art therapy practices into their classroom environments.
  • To train facilitators to conduct art therapy activities effectively, supporting the emotional and psychological well-being of children and youth.
  • To establish criteria for selecting children to participate in the therapy sessions.

 

  1. The Assignment should be completed between March 2024 to August 2024

 

  1. Tasks and Deliverables

Tasks to be completed by the consultant include:

  • Design and deliver a 10-day TOT program for teachers.
  • Develop training materials, including curriculum and methodology.
  • Provide mentorship and support to teachers during and after the training.
  • Assist in selecting children for participation in therapy sessions.

 

 

  1. Skills and Experience Required

Applicants should possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • A degree in psychology or related field.
  • Certification as an art therapist.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with vulnerable children.
  • Ability to produce high-quality deliverables while understanding the needs of vulnerable populations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English.
