About the Civil Society Enablement unit:

The CSEU at Basmeh & Zeitooneh started in 2018 to develop the capacities of local community-based organizations, civil society organizations, and initiatives to enhance their skills and provide them with the necessary support that addresses community issues and focuses on enhancing awareness and empowering individuals and groups in civil society.

About the project:

Basmeh & Zeitooneh is embarking on the second cycle of the Fostering Refugee Leadership Project (FRL) in Lebanon. The aim is to empower Refugees-Led Organizations (RLOs), Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to take charge of their community's future by identifying problems, needs, and implementing tailored solutions. We are seeking to train and support CBOs/RLOs/CSOs, to share their experience and expertise with the participants. To reach this aim, we are currently looking for trainers to facilitate and contribute to the organization training sessions and workshops for the FRL Project.

The project aims to develop and empower civil society actors by providing professional training and coaching through an in-depth analysis of the needs of civil society organizations and the continuous follow-up of these organizations during the training period.

Training Topics:

The main topics of the training include the following:

1. Protection and Safeguarding (Click Here for the TOR)

3. Proposal Writing and Fundraising (Click Here for the TOR)

4. MEAL (Click Here for the TOR)

5. HR (Click Here for the TOR)

Each topic consists of 3-5 training days per each area of implementation (Beirut, North and Beqaa).

The trainer could be specialized in one or more topics.

The trainers will work together with the Basmeh and Zeitooneh team in:

1. The preparation of the training Materials (manual, presentation and any relevant document): The level of the training will be determined based on the needs and gaps of the targeted initiatives/organizations.

2. Run and facilitate the training sessions.

3. Run and Facilitate peer to peer coaching sessions as per participants needs.

4. Prepare a report setting out the main lessons shared during the sessions.

Experience: 

1. 3-5 years of experience, whether in a private, public, or civil society organization.

2. Previous experience in the development sectors, especially start-up and small community-based organizations.

3. Proven experience as a trainer and previous experience in protection/safeguarding, MEAL, Project Cycle Management, Proposal Writing and Fundraising, HR practices within CSOs/CBOs/RLOs.

4. Working experience in a multicultural context

Skills:

1. Proficiency in Arabic language (oral / written) mandatory

2. Ability to communicate in English

3. Good ability to work in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint

4. Adapted to multinational teams

5. Ability to multitask

Trainers are expected to be available as of July 1st, 2024 until November 2024. Please note that these are projected dates for scheduling purposes subject to further clarification on the specific dates of each training.
