TERMS OF REFERENCE (TOR) – Activities and Library Facilitator

Project Title: Kotobus Spreads Culture for All

Objective:

The objective of this TOR is to outline the responsibilities and scope of work for the Contractor in supporting the ASSABIL Mobile Library Program (KOTOBUS). The program aims to expand the Culture for All methodology to rural villages across Lebanon, targeting underserved municipalities and alleviating psychological distress among the Lebanese population.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in edutainment activities with children and managing public libraries.

A minimum of 3 years of experience in conducting edutainment sessions and managing public libraries.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Public Interaction: Welcoming and receiving visitors.

Reading Promotion: Promoting reading habits and the use of public spaces.

Library Management: Managing book loans and returns.

Acquisitions: Participating in the development of the library acquisitions list.

Weeding: Handling the process of weeding out outdated or damaged books.

Data Collection: Collecting and compiling data for monthly reports.

Team Participation: Attending team meetings.

Coordination: Collaborating with partners to set the monthly schedule for Kotobus visits.

Activities Facilitation: Conducting activities at partner centers.

Confidentiality:

The Contractor must maintain confidentiality of all information obtained during the contract period.

Period of Performance:

Start Date: November 1, 2024

End Date: July 31, 2025

Duration: 9 months

Compensation:

Rate: $50 per working day.

Payment will be made by ASSABIL upon presentation of an invoice.

Code of Conduct:

The Contractor must read and sign ASSABIL’s Code of Conduct and PSEA (Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) policy.

Termination:

ASSABIL reserves the right to terminate the contract without notice in case of any violation of the Code of Conduct or PSEA policy.
