           Duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensure that program teams develop work plans for each project,
  • Together with the ED & the team, recommend proper staffing and follow-up on recruitment
  • Take the lead, with the active collaboration of the staff and partners involved, for each new project or new phase of project on the organization, coordination of the kick off meetings;
  • Follow-up with project teams to ensure a timely and effective implementation of all activities.
  • Oversee the drafting of scopes of work for partners and sub-contractors;
  • Ensure that the closure requirements for each final end of project are met by the PO and project team;
  • Participate in regular monitoring visits and oversees the proper monitoring of the programs impact, assessment of the value of each activity in terms of its contribution to expected outcomes;
  • Actively participate in and facilitate team input to the proposal development and drafting processes;
  • In collaboration with the project team, ensure an M&E framework (M&E plan, M&E tools, analysis) is in place and properly implemented for every project Program;
  • Plan and conduct monthly, quarterly and annual Program Review Meetings to assess progress, adjust plans in collaboration with the program team.
  • Discuss and validate with project leads their proposed changes/adjustments in activities if needed;
  • In collaboration with the project team and in coordination with the Finance and Admin teams, ensure the correct budget management of all projects or activities and the funds available for them.
  • In collaboration with the project teams and in coordination with all other teams, oversee the preparation of narrative, statistical and financial reports for donors as required, in a timely manner, as well as concept note and proposal for developing the portfolio;
  • Provide line management leadership to the program team ensuring they are all supported and guided to manage their projects and teams;
  • Contribute to the development of a capacity building plan of the program team and ensure its implementation;
  • Contribute to the development of the overall strategy of the programs;
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Masters degree in international relations or related field or equivalent experience required.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant professional experience required.
  • Management and supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated experience on Human Rights and the Middle East/Lebanon.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent writing and oral communications skills, as well as cross-cultural skills, media skills, and the ability to deal with counterparts on every political, social and economic level.
  • Relevant knowledge of Project and Personnel Management and Mentoring processes.
  • Familiarity with drafting and negotiating proposals and writing reports for donors
  • Professional fluency in English & Arabic languages is required. Knowledge of French is a plus.
