During the past years, the relation between party and citizen was usually negotiated in the language of clientelistic/sectarian politics. MenEngage Lebanon is an established network that has completely autonomous member organizations from various local and international organizations working to promote human rights and gender equality. This network set off to develop a road map and consequently conceived a strategic plan that is intended to clarify both the ends and means for the collaboration of its members in the next three years.

Oxfam in Lebanon and Marsa are implementing a 5-year, Global Affairs Canada (GAC) funded project entitled “Health and Rights for women, Adolescent girls and Children (SRHR)”. Overall, the project aims to increase the enjoyment of health-related human rights by the most marginalized and vulnerable women and adolescent girls in the northern city of Tripoli. This goal will be achieved through (1) Increased equitable use of health services by diverse groups of women and adolescent girls, (2) improved provision of gender-responsive, inclusive and accountable health services by health care providers

The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation is a Swedish non-profit organisation, not affiliated with any political party or religious movement, that works together with local partner organisations promoting women’s rights and peace in over 20 conflict affected countries in the Western Balkans, Central and Western Africa, Middle East and Northern Africa and the South Caucasus.

Kvinna till Kvinna’s vision is a world with sustainable peace based on democracy and gender equality, in which conflicts are managed through non-military means.

International Alert aims to recruit data collectors to work with a lead researcher on a gender sensitive conflict analysis (GSCA) in Tripoli and Baalback. The data collection will include key informant interviews (KIIs) and focus group discussions (FGDs) in both regions. Depending on the COVID-19 situation, the KIIs and FGDs would be conducted either in-person or via phone or online methods. Interested candidates may apply individually or as a team. They may also apply to one or both of the target geographic areas.
